Frantic shoppers crowd the stores,
Buying up bargains by the score.
Do they know the meaning of Christmas?
It's difficult to tell for sure.
Christmas isn't a race to see
How many gifts that you can buy.
It's not about cooking a ham,
Or about baking pumpkin pie.
It isn't about hanging lights,
Or visiting Santa at the mall.
No it really isn't about
Any of those things at all.
It's about the birth of Jesus,
And his true divinity.
It's about the birth of the Savior,
Who came to redeem humanity.
So stop worrying about those sales,
And getting caught up in distractions
Let's focus on what's important,
And be responsible for our actions.
Jesus is the reason for the
season we hold so dear.
So let's keep the focus on God
As we celebrate Christmas this year.

Although I wrote plenty of poems that celebrate the many traditions that surround this holiday season. Christian poems focus on the true meaning of Christmas. You got to agree! Take a few moments away from the hustle and bustle of the season to share some of these poems with the people you love. It doesn't have to be a religious one, look at this one but it would be great if you can share Christ this Christmas.
Scrooge And Grinch
Scrooge and Grinch
Don’t believe in Christmas
When the carolers come along
They start to swear and cuss
Don’t believe in Christmas
When the carolers come along
They start to swear and cuss
Ebeneezer Scrooge is a skinflint
A mean and grasping old miser
Who buys from the pound shop
And sells them at a fiver
A mean and grasping old miser
Who buys from the pound shop
And sells them at a fiver
Little more than a grouch
Is the Christmas stealing Grinch
Who to miserable to be happy
He steals your Christmas by the inch
The tale is told of redemption
After the ghostly haunting stunt
The Grinch whole-hearted and loving
Says merry Christmas with a grunt
Scrooge and Grinch never changed
They were just putting on a front
I got a bit a carried away today with my creative thinking and writing poems. I have come up with a great poem that you can put in your Christmas cards to share Christ. That is if you like me, that do Christmas cards last minute. What was that? You must misheard me. Me do Christmas last minute, now you must be joking. Oh and here the third poem today. That is what I said! Right?!?!?
Christmas Candle
Candle light of beauty
Adorning church and alter
None excluded from Christ’s love
Darkness brightly conquered
Light of Christ illuminating
Everlasting light of life
Adorning church and alter
None excluded from Christ’s love
Darkness brightly conquered
Light of Christ illuminating
Everlasting light of life
This poem is a different poem that I tend to write, this poem is called a Christmas acrostic - and acrostic poem is one in which the initial letters of each line spell out the word or words of significance to the poem - with a simple but powerful message.
Right I better go and do Christmas cards!! Is that what you was telling me? I got you know!!
